PDF Splitter

Extract the pages you need from a PDF

Rockspace's PDF split tool lets you select specific pages from one or more PDF documents and create a new PDF containing only those pages. You can choose individual pages, arrange them in the order you want, and download the result as a separate document.

This is useful when you only need part of a report, document, manual, presentation, or other PDF. You can also collect pages from different PDF files and build them into one new document.

How it works

How to split a PDF

Create a new PDF from selected pages in three steps.

01

Add your PDF

Upload one or more PDF files using the workspace above. Multiple documents can be used in the same session.

02

Select the pages

Select the pages you want to keep. Your selected pages appear in the Output Order section below the workspace.

03

Arrange and create

Drag the selected pages into the order you want, then choose Create PDF to generate the new document.

Common uses

When to extract PDF pages

Extract pages from a long document

Keep only the chapters, sections, forms, or pages you need instead of sharing the entire document.

Create a smaller PDF

Create a separate document containing only the relevant pages from a larger PDF.

Collect pages from multiple PDFs

Select useful pages from different PDF files and arrange them into one new document.

Important detail

Your original PDF stays unchanged

The tool creates a separate PDF from the pages you select. It does not rewrite the original document. This means you can create an extracted copy while keeping your original PDF available for later use.

Custom page order

Selected pages can be rearranged before the PDF is created. Pages from different source documents can therefore be combined into one custom sequence.

How the tool works

How the new PDF is created

When you create the PDF, the selected source documents are read by the browser. The pages you selected are copied into a new PDF document in the same order shown in the Output Order section.

The tool works with the PDF document structure rather than turning each selected page into a screenshot. The resulting file is therefore a new PDF containing the selected PDF pages.

The generated document is then downloaded directly by your browser after processing is complete.
